A Parent Coach helps parents strengthen relationship building skills with their children by understanding the source of their child's undesired behavior. Often times children with ADHD or other diagnosis will have intense emotions which are challenging in family life and at school. Children who have experienced trauma, grief and loss may also display intense emotions that can cause feelings of chaos at home and at school. A Parent Coach will help parents and educators develop new skills to calm the child's amygdala, bring out and strengthen desired behavior within their child. Parent Coaching is a "Parallel Process" in which coaches support parents and educators while they support and coach their child and student. Parent Coaches can work with teachers and schools to help support students.
